Every word in this book describes one woman’s struggle to have faith and believe in God despite her circumstances. At an early age, Teresa was met with challenges beyond her ability to control and sought God for understanding. After things looked as if they wouldn’t change, she decided that if the Lord was not going to fix her life, then she would just take her life! Little did she know that this total surrender of her will to God was what He was waiting for. Now He could pour into her, deliver her, and set her free so that she could free others. “A Faith That Works” will help you overcome the obstacles and challenges that you too may be experiencing in your own life. Do not let your past define your future. Regardless of how things look, you have to believe that God is greater than what you can see. He has great things in store for you but to find Him, you must be willing to lose yourself! Faith Works.

“The Real Purpose Behind the Hat” teaches you how to discover your own purpose for living and once it is discovered, choosing to accept it. We often find ourselves questioning whether or not we are equipped to perform the thing that God has called us to, but here we learn that whom the Lord calls, He also qualifies. In the search for her own purpose for living, Teresa discovered that she was already doing the thing that God had called her to do. She states that “Because it was not what I thought it would be or because it did not look like what I thought it should, I did not recognize it when it came.” While experiencing my own brokenness, I kept being put into positions to “lead”. Helping others to overcome their issues and plights is what ultimately saved me from mine! It shifted the focus from what I was going through to helping others to overcome. Teresa will tell you that her will to live and survive what she was going through ultimately became greater than the will to give up. She declares that there is a leader in each of us, but our ability to lead has to be effective that it brings a total change into the lives of those we are leading. God does not call those qualified, He qualifies the called. Walk in your purpose!

In this book, Teresa urges you to “Live Like You Know!” Embrace Your Freedom in Christ! God has given us freedom through the shed blood of Jesus Christ and we are no longer under the law, but grace. To live like you know, you must recall ALL that God has said. When God frees you from a situation, it is up to you to maintain that freedom. You are not obligated to return to the mess that God has delivered you from. The truth is that God wants you to enjoy your life and you can do that when you have a relationship with the Father. In this book, Teresa shares how to “Get Free and Stay Free” by “Recalling What God Has Said.” She insists that we use good Christian sense as well as common-sense to know how the Lord is ordering your steps. We must incline our ears to hear in this season. Teresa seeks to engage her readers by asking “what does it mean for YOU to be free?” If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed (John 8:36). Now LIVE like you know!

One of the worst things that you can do to yourself is to have a vision for your life and allow fear or feelings of inadequacy to stop you from pursuing your dreams. Enough is Enough! STEP! In this book, Teresa explains that the whole process of stepping involves you putting one foot in front of the other and moving your body as a unit…forward. Each step taken towards your destiny must be taken in faith. Fear has claimed a lot of people’s destinies simply because they did not understand the application of FAITH and how important it is in STEPPING! Psalm 119:105 says “Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.” God cannot light your path if you are not moving your feet. As you move, He directs your steps and makes the pathway clear. Remember with each step, God carries you through a process of conditioning that you might receive the thing that YOU asked Him for! In this season, it will take some RECKLESS obedience to have faith and MOVE even when you don’t have the resources available to do it. God is looking for some CRAZY FAITH! If you are tired of being sick and tired, get up and do something about it…STEP!

In this book, Teresa describes a heart that is yearning for the love of her husband. After having endured various levels of physical, verbal, sexual, and emotional abuse, she has learned how to want the man that God wants for her. Lust is not love! We fall in love with people for all the wrong reasons. They may be fine, but what does his or her prayer life look like? Can they pray you through some things? Stop asking God for the same qualities in the new man that the old man had. God does not work like that. He’s not going to give you a new thing with old stuff attached to it, so then we have to be transformed by the renewing of our minds so that we can stop desiring that old stuff! Just like you’ve desired things from God for your husband, there are things that he is asking God for concerning you. I am crazy enough to believe that God will become IN MY HUSBAND all that I need, and He will become IN ME, all that my husband needs. Wait on the Lord!

The road that leads to freedom in life is a long bumpy road. While along the way you may forget some of the things that hurt you, don’t ever forget what you learned from them! There are some tough decisions that you will have to make about life along the way, but choosing how you hear and obey God’s voice could determine how and what you will reap in this season. “The Road That Leads to Freedom” also leads to forgiveness, joy, peace, and a host of other things as you find these in your relationship with the Lord. This book helps to address those hidden matters of the heart that tends to hinder your progress through life. We’ll take a look at them and find the courage to face them once and for all so that you can be free to live your life with no regrets!

In this book, the Author shares how the Lord is demanding that we give Him His praise! We have allowed the pressures of life and the distractions of this world to take our attention away from the very GIVER of our lives. The Lord shares what our APPROACH to praise should be, that we should make TIME to praise, PRESS in our praise, SHIFT our praise, and ask for a NEW HEART. Sometimes we need to ask God to give us a new regenerate heart so that we can praise Him or serve Him as we ought. Don’t become so lost in what is happening in the world that you miss the opportunities that God gives you daily to PRAISE! You have the power any time you choose to push the button on your praise and offer unto the Lord, the fruit of your lips. God is looking for perfect hearts clothed with fire. While we know that we are not perfect, we should be striving for perfection and that is only found in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
